What is Alamo Director Doing Next?

By TheAlamoFilm.com

Rumors originally stated that The Alamo director was working on a Bin Laden story, but that may not be his next project.

John Lee Hancock

John Lee Hancock, who wrote and directed the “The Alamo,” will shoot the revenge drama “Dead I Well May Be.”

The Universal Pictures project, based on a book by Adrian McKinty, follows a street-savvy illegal immigrant from Ireland who lands a job as an Irish mob enforcer in New York in the early 1990s.

“This is a wonderfully written book focused on an Irish anti-hero who grew up amid the brutal civil wars of Belfast, and it’s certain to add new depth to the action-film genre,” said Steve Golin, one of the film’s producers.

Hancock also directed the hit baseball movie “The Rookie.”
