For high-class French cuisine look no further than Le Reve. This restaurant is a favorite for its romantic setting, fabulous food, and award-winning wine list. Le Reve’s minimally decorated room only holds about 12 tables so reservations are highly recommended. As you'd expect from a high-dollar contemporary French restaurant, pacing is leisurely and European.
Chef Andrew Weissman brings impeccably updated French cuisine to the Riverwalk district of San Antonio. An average meal at this upscale restaurant can last anywhere from two to two and a half hours so be prepared to devote your whole evening to the delicacies of Le Reve.
The Grey Moss Inn is another romantic fine dining destination. This steak house features candlelight dinners that set the perfect mood for an anniversary, popping the question, or just a lovely night out. The wine list boasts more than 600 labels and the steaks are prepared on an outdoor grill.
Prix fixe menus are available or you can order a la carte. Dishes include recipes that have been served at the Grey Moss Inn since its opening in 1929. There are also many rooms available for special occasions near the 8 acre wildlife sanctuary of Grey Moss.
For fine dining in a more casual atmosphere check out Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Ruth’s Chris has two locations in San Antonio so you can head over and enjoy their food no matter where you’re staying. While Ruth’s Chris is famous for their steak, they also offer many other specialties. Many items on the menu have authentic New Orleans seasonings and themes. Try the Louisiana Seafood Gumbo or the Shrimp Remoulade.
