As one of 24 native Texans, Juan Abamillo signed up to serve for 6 months in the Texas Revolution as well as taking part in the siege of Bexar. It was during this time under the command of Juan N. Seguin that he arrived at theAlamo on February 23, 1836. He died in battle on March 6, 1936.
